The Crown prince
It belongs to the group of the oldest patterns and was used on the occasion of the ruler corronation. As on that occasion the crown prince is proclaimed, too, he was given as a gift the kilim with
this pattern and the kilim was named after that. The order for the palace was mainly in blue colour. The pattern consists of a greater number of sections with hooks in different directions and
in several colours between which there are hexagonal notched medallions with a narrow enlargement on the bottom and upper side like a pedestal they are called “heads” by the women-weavers.
They are filled with two stylized crosses in two colours. The space between “heads” is filled with elongated rhomboids with hooks. The field of the kilim is separated from the plate by an
broken line and the Rašić’s plate.
